ପ୍ରତିଶୟ Pratiṡaya

• ସଂ. ବି (ପ୍ରତି+ଶୀ ଧାତୁ=ଶୋଇବା+ଭାବ. ଅ) — ଅଭୀଷ୍ଟ—ସିଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଁ ଦେବତାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆଦେଶଲାଭ କରିବା ସଙ୍କଳ୍ପରେ ସ୍ନାନଭୋଜନାଦି ତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଦେବତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ପଡ଼ିରହିବା; ଧାରଣା ପଡ଼ିବା; ଅଧିଆ ପଡ଼ିବା — Lying Dhārnā before a Deity; lying prostrate before a Deity for days together without any food till one's prayers are answered by the Deity
