ଗୋରୁ ଲାଙ୍ଗୁଡ଼ରେ ପାରି ହୋଇଯିବା Goru lāṅguṟḍ̠are pāri hoi j̄ibā

• ଦେ. କ୍ରି. — ଯାହାକୁ ପହଁରି ଆସେ ନାହିଁ ସେ ନଈରେ ଗୋରୁକୁ ପହଁରିବାକୁ ପୂରାଇ ଦେଇ ପହଁରୁ— ଥିବା ଗୋରୁର ଲାଙ୍ଗୁଡ଼କୁ ଓ ପଛପାଖକୁ ଧରି ନଦୀ ଆଦି ପାର ହୋଇଯିବା — To cross a river by catching hold of the tail and the hind parts of a swimming cow
• ଦେ. କ୍ରି. — (ହିନ୍ଦୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ ମତେ) ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣକୁ ଦାନ କରା ଯାଇଥିବା ଗୋରୁର ଲାଙ୍ଗୁଡ଼କୁ ଧରି ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ପରେ ତପ୍ତ ବୈତରଣୀକୁ ବିନା କଷ୍ଟରେ ପାରି ହୋଇ ଯିବା — To be able to cross the Ba̲i̱taraṇī river (in the hell) after death by holding the tail of the cow which a Hindu gives to a Brāhmaṇa before his death
• ଦେ. କ୍ରି. — ଖାତକ ମହାଜନର ଦେଣା ପରିଶୋଧ କରିବାକୁ ଅକ୍ଷମ ହୋଇ ମହାଜନଙ୍କୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ଗାଈ ଦେଇ ସମସ୍ତ ଋଣରୁ ମୁକ୍ତ ହେବା — To clear the entire debt due from one's self to a creditor by presenting a cow to the creditor in full satisfaction and pleading inability to pay anything more
